Words. Songs. Art.

The pandemic has halted traditional performance opportunities, it’s true. But what is it? Pressure makes diamonds? And few companies in town thrive under pressure the way Imprint Theatreworks does, so Lauren is THRILLED to serve on the writing team for THE TREE, part of the ‘Imprint at Home’ season.

The Tree - An American Rock Musical, a collaboration written by Michael Federico, Jonathan Norton, Lauren LeBlanc, Cameron Casey, Alle Mims, and Franky Gonzalez; with original music by Veteran Children (Ian Ferguson, Aubrey Ferguson, and Drew Wall) and featuring movement by Danielle Georgiou. Directed by Tiana Kaye Blair | Music Direction by Ian Ferguson and Aubrey Ferguson. October 29 - November 14, 2020

The Tree aims to be an immersive journey across time and emotion re-examining the “gift” of knowledge and the nature of Good and Evil through an innovative and haunting musical narrative, written by six local playwrights, with music by the band Veteran Children, and featuring original movement by Danielle Georgiou. These ten creators will partner to weave a collective experience that shines a light on human nature and what connects us all. This piece will aim to blend an immersive visual experience across both digital and creative outdoor settings. Tickets available soon.

Eveline Flynn rides again!

Adjustments.jpeg

Theatre Three patrons were asked what shows they wanted to learn more about, and the “overwhelming” response was they wanted the scoop on THE MANUFACTURED MYTH OF EVELINE FLYNN, a show Lauren had the honor of starring in last season. So Christie Vela—Associate Artistic Director of T3 and host of their podcast Uptown Drama—sat down with Michael Federico and Ian Ferguson, the show’s writer/composer team, to talk about behind-the-scenes stories from the original musical.

Take 30 minutes out of your day and listen to some of the smartest, kindest humans talk about creating the role and show that still holds the #1 performing spot in Lauren‘s heart. Available free on Spotify.

PAAL's newest pal!

Lauren is honored + thrilled to announce something that's been in the works for a few months: She will now serve as chief rep for the DFW chapter of PAAL, the Parent-Artist Advocacy League, a brilliant organization designed to help caregiver artists and arts administrators build community, find caregiver support, and tackle obstacles that are specific to our area.

There is much to come in this arena, under the careful tutelage of PAAL founder Rachel Spencer Hewitt and with the help of the fine folks at Theatre Three, our host theatre. For more information or to join your chapter of PAAL, visit https://www.paaltheatre.com.

This is an important step, friends. Support for those who need it, by those who know what's needed. Stay tuned.
